Experience
This is my 9th year in education. In public education, I taught in the classroom for 6 years. I taught 2 years in high school and 4 years in middle school. I taught business electives, career prep, computer science, and basic technology/keyboarding, etc. I also served as school technology coordinator/department head. I then moved into a district tech coach position for a year before deciding to start my own microschool. I have been running the day-to-day of the microschool for one full year now soon to begin year two.
Leadership Experience
As the co-founder of Level Up School of Innovation, I have built the first microschool in the River Region. I have hosted the first Alabama microschool leader retreat, The Still Spark. I have built an LLC onto LUSI to provide other microschools, homeschooling families, and more access to AI driven student digital badges that I designed to meet high standards and include PBL, CBL, UDL, 5E Model, and ISTE Standards. I have connected with surrounding schools in my area to create a community wide educational choice event. I host quarterly community outreach events, as well as attend many community outreach events. I have been on podcasts and spoken at many conferences including ISTE.

Personal Life
I have been married to my husband David for 4 years. We have two boys, Treyton (14yo) and Huck (3yo). We also have two dogs, Esther and Lucy, and a turtle named Speedy. We are heavily involved in BSA, and we are ALWAYS on the go!
I love kayaking, whitewater rafting, camping (in my camper with A/C preferably). I love watching sports (hail state)! Overall, I mainly just enjoy my time with my family. And obviously edtech stuff is pretty cool too.
